Sony Ebook Reader in Chinese

Now, you may not have known this but SER works in Chinese too. Yup.

I am pretty interested in reading in Chinese, but I tried today it turned out not working, do I have to download any kind of software to convert the character or what? Could you please tell me how can you do that? Thanks so much! :)
